HYDE HOUSE WEDDING VIDEPGRAPHER

I’ve been a wedding videographer at Hyde House in Cheltenham a few times now. It’s a really fantastic stately home venue not too far from Oxford, set in the green and beautiful Cotswolds.

With a bright and airy barn where you can get married on-site, and rooms to stay and get ready, it’s often a venue where everything happens in one place. If you are considering a church, some nearby include Stow on the Wold Baptist Church, St Mary’s Church, and St Peter’s Church.

Fiona and Tom’s wedding was in December 2022. They got married at the barn and Fiona got ready there too. I arrived at about 1030 ready for the ceremony to start at 1. I captured some moments from the bridal prep and got some shots of the venue all set up before anyone arrived. I also set up my cameras in the barn, mic’ed up Tom and the registrar ready for the guests to arrive.

After the ceremony, Fiona and Tom were having a few pictures with Megan Guard so I joined to get a few video shots too. I then made my way to join everyone in the drinks reception.

They had a piano player and people were already dancing! It was a great atmosphere.

Speeches were before dinner, which lots of people choose as it means the people doing the speeches can really relax after!

During dinner, I always go and have a break myself as no one wants a camera in front of them when eating! Fiona and Tom kindly had arranged a dinner for me too.

After dinner was cocktails and more mingling, then onto the first dance and the after party!

If you are considering a wedding at Hyde House it is a nice central location with accommodation. There are also hotels and BnBs nearby including Victoria House and The King’s Arms Stow.

Getting to the venue is easy from Oxford and beyond with the M40 nearby.
